OPI DS SERIES - BEAUTIMOUS!

It's official; summer is damn near here. We found the first woodtick of the season on Tinlee's neck. Disgusting, sneaky, useless little creatures.  I was hoping with the late spring maybe they just wouldn't show up at all, but those bastards are indestructible. They just give me the heebie jeebies. So gross.

Spent part of the day trying to remove the doghair that has taken over my house. Both of the dogs are blowing coat; I swear with the hair I've brushed out of them added with all of it they've left laying around the house, I could make a whole new dog. I'm not sure why they both aren't completely bald.

I did manage to do my nails Friday night. I played around with the light box, which I did use for the photo of my marble the other day. I'm still having a not so easy time finding a satisfactory method with that thing. And then I managed to knock over one of the lights which now doesn't work.  Crikey.  I am destined to fail with that thing, apparently.

I had first taken photos in the kitchen like I usually do and then decided to do the light box for comparison to see which was more accurate. Definitely the light box for this one, even though there's still some shadowing towards the back of my hand. At least the color in accurate, though. That's all that counts, right?
Such a beautiful color in person; OPI DS Extravagance. I love the DS polishes. And even though it's really hard to see, this is stamped with OPI DS Signature. I did want it to be a subtle look, and that's what I ended up with. I also tried for a delicate stamping pattern and used an image off of my DRK-A plate. If  you don't have any of the DRK plates, you really should consider them. They can be found on Ninja Polish  Make sure you get yourself an x-large stamper, too! It's so much better than the Konad stamper; bigger and squishier so if you need the image to be even bigger, you can  kind of squeeze it to make it larger.

Off to play catch-up on tv since Kev got home a day earlier than he was supposed to. I'm also debating whether or not to soak my nails off or just wear dark polish the rest of the week to hide the little bit of growout that is starting to annoy me.

Ah, decisions, decisions.

  1. That looks like a awesome color! I made a light box too but I think I need a bigger one. The one I made is pretty small and its so awkward taking pictures, lol.

    1. I bought mine off of eBay. It's a 12 inch, and I wish I would have gone with
the 16 because it's awkward for me to work with, too. And to top it off, I
dropped one of my lights so now only one works. Sheesh.
