Oh, what we endure for pretty nails. My lap, my recliner, my table....complete and total glitterfest right now. Lovely. My hands are coated with it, too.  If somebody could invent non-messy glitter, they'd make a damn fortune.

I want to go to work tomorrow about as much as I'd like to be punched in the throat, but at least I'll have some sparkle on when I get there. Maybe that will perk up my Monday. Hopefully I won't still be leaving a glitter trail with every step I take.

This is a MSMD mani I did. I had tried it last summer and failed miserably. I'm glad I didn't give up. Several times now when I've been unable to make something work, the next time I try it, it works for me very easily. I'm not sure why that is, but I'm happy that I accomplished what I wanted to here. Here's a link to my inspiration, Robin Moses....she is caraaazzzyyy talented so if you get a chance check her out at http://robinmosesnailart.blogspot.com

I can only dream of being as accomplished as she is. Most of her ideas I won't even consider because they are way too complicated. I watched her youtube tutorial for her "easy party girl" nails, and this is how mine turned out. Sorry for the number of pictures, but I really wanted to show these off in all their glory. Make sure to click on them to really get the full effect.  :)

It seemed like even the slightest change in hand position caught something different in how the glitter looks, so I figured what the hell; post 'em all. It's my blog so I can do that if I want, right? ;)

I did a basecoat of deep navy blue using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in "Petrol". This is one of my fave navy blues. It's a nice, dark navy, application is great....overall just a really nice creme finish.  Robin uses Inaz glitters. Not a chance in hell of me finding those here, but I got some random purple, white and silver glitter that came from the dollar store. My black glitter came as a little bonus in my October monthly Julep box. I did manage to get the super sparkly glitter that she used, Fantasy Makers Confetti Confetti's. If memory serves, I snagged it on eBay. It is super blingy! For the glue, I use what is technically a glue made for scrapbookers, The Best Glue Ever.

You can see Robin Moses' full video tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut-VfRyDBhk

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Sunday!!  :)
