Is the weekend already half over? Gross.

Did I actually wake up to it snowing this morning? Yes. Yes, I did. Also gross. Someone needs to mention to Mother Nature (that witch) that it's supposed to be spring. Jeebus.

Today I had a moment of genius, and I'm feeling pretty clever because of it. For my honorary daughter's baby shower, I bought a Flip slide video camera.  Ya' know, I have to revel in the moment because there's a good chance I won't have another genius moment for a very long time, if ever.

Rather than wrap it, I stuck it in my purse. I stopped and got a card and put "open last, if possible" on the outside, and on the inside along with all of the other mushy stuff I wrote, I put "look at me; I'm holding your present".  Opening gifts, of course, was the last part of the party. So I recorded the entire shower for her, and when she opened her card, I was still taping. It was quite the moment. There was applause even!! I hope she was happy with the gift and that she takes a TON of videos of that new baby when he arrives. Pretty fun, right? :)

I did do my nails last night, but I didn't even start playing with them until 11:30. I'm terrible on the weekends. I never get to bed before 3:30. I don't know what it is I think I'm missing when I'm sleeping, but I sure do avoid it as much as possible. This is what I came up with.
OPI My Vampire is Buff OPI Thanks a Windmillion Zoya Jana watermarble marble

For this marble I started off with a basecoat of OPI My Vampire is Buff which is my new fave neutral. I would have bought it just for the name, though....complete Buffy the Vampire Slayer junkie here. I've had a girl crush on Sarah Michelle Gellar forever. If I could adopt her, I would. The green is OPI Thanks a Windmillion, and the brown is Zoya Jana. All three of these worked really well for marbling. I think it turned out pretty well considering I have a much harder time doing the "swirly" marbles.

Weird how it photographed pretty matte even though it's shiny in person. I'm not sure why that happened. Hopefully I'll do better with my pictures when my light box gets here next week.

And on that note, I'm out for tonight!
