DAMN YOU, CAMERA........IT'S PINK!!!

I cannot believe we are under a winter storm warning. Are you effing kidding me?? Starting midnight tonight we're supposed to get 3 to 8 inches. Even better, it's going to start off as freezing rain and then tomorrow be a combo of rain/snow. Sounds pleasant, right?

Yesterday I was an hour away walking outside with my coat unzipped.  Of course everybody else I saw was without a coat, but get real, people. It was only 40; that's still coat weather.  Gumps.  And now we are back to full-blown winter.  Screw you, Mother Nature.

I've been busy! I've been out of the house 3 days in a row! I don't remember the last time I was gone 3 days in a row.....probably Christmas.

Today I ran downtown to pick up paint samples for the bedroom. I hate picking out paint. It's so hard to judge what something will look like on the walls. I end up starting at them 89 times and still not being sure what I want.

Then I ran to a tattoo shop for a consult. I was so excited about maybe getting a tiny hummingbird on the inside of my wrist. They completely dashed any hopes of that. Too small of an area. I'm saddy-pants about it. If I want a photo realistic one it's going to have to be at least a couple of inches. I don't necessarily have a problem with that, but I can't figure out where I want something that big. She suggested on the inside of my forearm, so I'm sitting here with a fake one on.  I just can't decide if I want something that bold.  It would be lighter than this because I would probs use a pic of one my actual birds, and they have white tummies and are green.
So now I'm asking for opinions. Will this work, or will I hate it in the long run? I believe it would be less harsh than this because it would look more like an actual photo.

I'm also wondering I should get it more like one of these. They could put a flower if the head was down so it would be doing more than just sitting .
Or mabes just a little green pretty girl sitting on a twig.
Turns out the whole tattoo idea is not as simple as originally expected.  Dammit!

Maybe I should just stick to nails. No placement issues there!
Color Club Blushing Rose, MoYou Sailor 07 stamp
Let me say right off, I love this. I wish the pink showed up better in the picture, but you'll just have to take my word for it when I tell you that this Color Club Blushing Rose is a smidge darker than baby pink.

Then I used one of my brand spankin' new MoYou plates, Sailor 07.  The designs are a decent size so I'm happy I got them, but their designs just fit my thumbnail. As you can see, my placement wasn't so perfect on my ring finger.  I had to really be exacting when I was stamping. I prefer a bit more leeway, but I'll make do.

Have you entered my giveaway yet? You haven't?? Why not???  I really think you should. Make sure you share it, and you can share it every day for more entries.

Do it.

  1. I think the tattoo would be appropriate and cute. What about turning it 90 degrees so the body is facing to the outside the wings to the inside. Or, what about on your ankle/calf?

    1. I wasn't sure which way to put it, especially because it's the fake one. I have pretty scrawny, boney ankles so I don't know if that would work very well.

  2. Here is my 2 cents. Where ever you end up putting it, just make sure you can see it, don't put it on your back where you can't admire it. I don't know why they can't do it on your wrist. If you look on line there are fantastic hummingbird tattoos that are actually quite small. You might want to find someone out of town. You could wait and get it when you go on your vacation, just get it on the last day you are there because you can't swim after it. Choose wisely because you are going to have it forever.

    1. Exactly...I want to be able to see it. I am going to have to do some more googling, I think.

  3. I am a tattoo lover, but I usually like them small and in places that are not very exposed...so, I can not give you any advise or idea, but I like the fake hummingbird! About the nail art, it looks absolutely stunning, fabulous pattern!
